MAHA and FlipGive Announce Hockey Team Fundraising Partnership

December 2 2020

Partnering to bring virtual fundraising to Michigan hockey families

FlipGive is a free team funding app that makes raising money a breeze. Teams earn cash back for buying the things they already need. Get paid whenever you shop, dine out, book hotels or activities.

The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) is proud to announce a partnership with FlipGive, a free fundraising platform used by thousands of sports teams, schools, and community causes across North America. The partnership will focus on supplying hockey families, teams, and associations with a simple, online solution for making the game more affordable. As an added bonus for Michigan teams, FlipGive will provide a matching grant of $100 for any team that earns $100 by December 31st.

“This partnership with FlipGive makes perfect sense for our statewide community,” said Jason Reynolds, MAHA Director of Operations and Marketing. “Particularly during a year when traditional fundraising events are difficult to execute, this is a very convenient platform for our teams and associations to use to raise funds. Best of all, they raise the funds through normal day-to-day activity.”

FlipGive offers a modern approach to fundraising, using technology and partnerships with hundreds of businesses to make the entire process more convenient for families. Rather than requiring families and players to sell something, FlipGive provides team members and supporters with the ability to earn cash back while shopping popular brands both online and in-store. The results have made a significant impact with nearly 5,000 hockey teams using FlipGive this year.

“As a hockey coach myself, I know parents are always interested in fundraising ideas to help with the cost of sports, and in this challenging season the usual sponsorships and in-person fundraising are not available,” said FlipGive VP Growth Sam Menard. “FlipGive makes it easy to fundraise virtually by setting up your player roster, inviting your parents to download the app and join, and then getting families earning money with their regular spending on holiday shopping, birthday parties and everyday needs like groceries and gas.”

You are invited to get started today at FlipGive, where you can book a call or send an email to a FlipGive coach who will answer questions on how to best fundraise as a team. Parents and players can start earning for their team today, and association leadership can launch a free turn-key fundraising program with full season support from FlipGive to give their parents a great fundraising solution.
